Dr. Tan Eng Kien, a distinguished Specialist Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at E K and E L Women's Clinic, Novena, is recognized as one of Singapore's top OBGYNs. With extensive experience in high-risk pregnancies, including those complicated by diabetes, hypertension, and fetal anomalies, Dr. Tan also specializes in water births and advanced obstetric ultrasound imaging. A graduate of the University of Manchester with honors, Dr. Tan holds advanced qualifications from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) and has been a prominent figure in women’s health since 1997.

Before establishing his private practice, Dr. Tan was a Senior Consultant at NUH, where he led the Delivery Suite and launched the NUH PROMPT course, training teams for emergency scenarios. He is a certified MOET trainer and has shared his expertise globally. Passionate about mentorship, Dr. Tan was instrumental in developing NUH’s OBGYN residency program.
